Fazbear Frights: Night 3 Part 1
“Wait, wait, wait. So you're telling me, you saw Freddy outside your office, he vanished only to reappear in front of you for a jumpscare, and then he disappeared?” Vanessa, your roommate, questioned you for the 5th time this morning. “Chippers, are you alright? Are you feeling ok? Are you hungry? Do you need water? You can always tell me, y’know.”

“I’m fine,”  you mumbled. “I...I just need some more sleep. I’ll be alright. See?”

“I know, I know. I’m just worried for you, that’s all,” Vanessa said with a motherly look of concern.

“Yeah, well, I don’t need you worrying about me. I appreciate the gesture, I really do, but you have your own life to deal with, and I don’t want to be a burden to you.”

You could tell that Vanessa was hurt by that statement, but could you really blame her? She was very protective; it was in her nature, but she could be a bit much for you at times. Tired from your previous failed attempt at sleep, you closed your eyes and fell into a deep slumber, not even bothering to pull the covers over your body or close the blinds.

~~~~~~~~~~
You woke up to find that you were in a strange, dark room. Panic settled down in your mind as you started to wander. You had this eerie feeling that people, no children were watching you. You continued to wander about in the dark when visions started to appear in front of you. The first vision was of a stage with a fat golden bear and a golden bunny. They were singing as many children were standing around and cheering at the performance that was occurring right in front of you. You could see that one child with a gray striped shirt was at first cheering with the children, but then their demeanor changed to a scared, almost fearful look. There was also once a ginger girl with the child, but she disappeared with the joyful smile on the other child’s face. Another figure appeared: a teenager with a red fox mask, presumably their older brother. You felt like there was more to this story, but when you tried to move your hand to examine the vision further, the vision shifted. It was as if something or someone wanted you to only see these versions of the visions in your dream.
The prior vision dimmed as another stage lit up, this time it held a purple bunny with the brown bear in the middle followed by a yellow chicken. Next to the stage was a red fox on a podium with star curtains hung behind. The trio were singing and like the last vision, children were singing and dancing along with the animatronics. Other children were with the fox, roleplaying as pirates and mermaids and other fantastical creatures. Before each animatronic stood a child, more vibrant than the other children celebrating. Each child had their corresponding colored shirt or dress to the animatronic that stood in front of them. There was also another child, a girl with a gold dress and black hair in pigtails, that was different from the rest. You could swear that the girl was watching not the robots, but you. Again, there felt like there was more to the vision, like a darker layer to the picture, but before you moved, the vision faded to black as a new picture took its place.
The vision changed with newer, different versions of the characters appearing before you. The trio looked more childish, more baby friendly. Where the fox was prior stood a present-like box with a puppet with a green band around its wrist and a mangled, pink version of the pirate fox from before. You felt pity for the mangle, being pulled apart then put back together haphazardly. If you ever had seen or worked with that animatronic, you promised to yourself that you would fix that animatronic into its former glory, no being should be treated with such disrespect. There was a child in front of the puppet and the girl had a matching green band around its wrist that was similar to the one the puppet was wearing. After a while of observing, you watched as the vision started to fade.
It was a while before you found yourself staring at an all too familiar scene, the office. This time however, you saw more figures that you haven’t seen before. There were the ghostly, phantom forms of the bear, chicken, fox and puppet. There was also a phantom form of a boy with a balloon that sat on the desk with a grin as he pestered the puppet. The phantoms didn’t act like their former selves did, they weren’t doing their performance routine; instead, they were acting like how people normally would, if people were robotic. However, everything changed when a green, decaying bunny entered the office. You noticed the atmosphere change into a more professional one; you knew immediately that this decayed bunny was in charge. It seemed like he was giving orders, but you couldn’t figure out what he was saying. Based on the tone, he was angry at the bear for some reason, it was as if he was reprimanding the bear for forgetting something important. There were some words that you could pick up, and you probably wouldn’t like the sound of it.
“-you… wait…jumpscare…Y/N…need…killed…”
Scratch that, you definitely didn’t like the sound of that at all. As if sensing a welcomed presence, the bunny turned to face your direction, as if it could see you. He smiled a wicked smile and said some words that were very clear to you.
“I can’t wait to kill you, Y/N Irving.”
With chills down your spine, you wished for this nightmare to end, but it didn’t. As the vision finally faded to black, you could hear a child's laughter, almost turning sinister. Finally, the vision completely faded and there in front of you stood two children. The child from the first vision, the one with the gray striped shirt and tear stains on his face, and the black pigtailed girl in her golden dress and her face dawned with a devilish smile.
“Well well well. What have we here?” The golden girl asked cheekily. She had an amused, sadistic aura around her, as if constantly looking for a toy to play with.
“Cassidy, you shouldn’t toy with them. Besides, we were here to warn Miss Irving about, y’know, him.”
“Whatever, Evan. Hello. I’m Cassidy and this is Evan.” Cassidy said as she turned back to you.
“Hello. It’s nice to finally meet you. You’ve filled out the booklet, right? In purple pencil, you wrote about a relative of yours having nightmares and claiming to have a talking teddy bear right?” Evan asked, serious about the situation.
“Not now, Evan. You can chit chat later. Right now, we need to talk about Afton. He’s alive and not where he is supposed to be.”
“Cassidy, calm down. I know you hate him … but we should fill Miss Irving in. They’re important and we need to make sure they help us keep him in check.”
“I know you got sight after the ‘incident’, but that doesn't’ mean they should know about-”
Your alarm went off as you sat up groggily from the non satisfying nap that you took. You checked the time and realized that if you didn’t hurry, you would be late to work. You scrambled around your room as you quickly took a shower and changed as you fixed your hair under your hat. You didn’t have time to eat dinner, or was it breakfast? You didn’t know nor did you care. You quickly grabbed your bag and then rushed to the kitchen to grab whatever was available. Vanessa was nowhere to be found, probably sleeping because it was 11:35pm. Thank god she cared enough about you to make you a bento containing rice, your favorite sushi, edamame, and grilled unagi or eel. It was Japanese night, and since you were sleeping, she made this for you, already knowing she would probably be asleep when you woke up for work. It was 11:43 when you finally left the house, leaving a note for Vanessa explaining where you were going to ease her mind.
You would never know that two pairs of eyes were watching your every move.
(Cassidy’s POV)
When Y/N left, I was still unsure about Evan’s decision.
“Did we really have to show them those visions? I don’t trust them; they seem like the type to sway easily from one side to another.” I asked Evan. I didn’t want even the other missing children, let alone a complete stranger, to help get Afton. But knowing Evan and his capabilities, it would be hard to convince him to change his mind.
“We can’t.” Evan replied. “They are important. They are connected to Afton somehow. I don’t know how, and I don’t know why, but we should definitely keep an eye on them.”
“But why that version, Evan? Why not the truthful one instead of the innocent one? Shouldn’t we just go for it and get things over with?”
“They aren’t ready, Cassidy. We both know that. With what they answered in the booklet and what they encountered, they are not ready to see the truth. You need to wait, Cassidy. You will get Afton soon, and maybe, you can possibly forgive him-“
“I will NEVER forgive him!! He killed me! He has to PAY!!” I was fuming at Evan. I don’t get why he wants to forgive the villain that killed me and the other children for no reason! Sometimes I think he’s too soft to be a vengeful spirit like myself. All the other spirits except for Charlie, Evan, and myself moved on. I don’t know where Charlie went and Evan stayed because of Afton, at least that’s what he told me. Despite his softness, Evan still was useful because of his gift in sight.
Ever since his accident, Evan was gifted telepathy and the ability to see the future, which was helpful when predicting what Afton’s next move would be. I was given telekinesis and pyrokinesis. When the other children and I planned to kill Afton the first time, Evan was one of the children to oppose our plan, the other being Charlie for some reason. Evan claimed that it wouldn’t kill him, and after 30 years of waiting, his prediction came true. Now I promised myself that I would get my final revenge on Afton, be it by burning him or even spring locking him again and again.
“Well, now Evan. Should we follow Y/N since they are sooo important to your plan?” I was a little agitated from before.
“Yup. Let’s go. I know they will encounter someone special tonight.” Evan said a little too cheerfully. Tonight will definitely be entertaining for all of us.
